Burak Hakki was born May 23, 1972 in Istanbul. His mother was born in Yalova,Turkey and his father was born in Komotini,Greece. The only sister he has is "Senem Hakki Karabulut".
Graduated "Semiha Şakir" English Private high school, mathematics class (1986-1990), He reinforced his English by completing ITBA (British English) courses. He continued his education at University of Istanbul Faculty of Economics, Econometrics part. While in University , he was also a player of "Nasaş" professional basketball Team in Turkish League ,and in the same period ,modeling career began with "Başak Gürsoy"modeling agency. Graduated from University of Istanbul (1995)
University graduation degrees gained success for scholarship of MBA program to study at ,European University in Montreux, the Villa "Les Bosquets" on January 8, 1996. He hasn't finished his education in Switzerland ,and took exams for the MBA program, University of Istanbul Faculty of Economics,and was awarded first place.
During these years, with particular emphasis on the profession of modeling in both Turkey and Europe, he started to work with a lot of modeling agencies.He was the winner of, 1993 Vizonshow , 1994 Best Model of Turkey,1995 Manhunt(Australia) Mr.Photogenic contests.and he was the runner up of the modelling competition in the Mediterranean, held in Tunisia in 1997 . He worked over a thousand shows and shootings .His fashion career started in 1992 and ended in 2003.
Married with Sema Simsek in June 2001. They had a son in January 2008, named "Rüzgar"

He was the starring actor in Tv series such as "Gurbet Kadını (Abroad Woman ) " , "Kırık Ayna (Broken Mirror)", "Kaybolan Yıllar (Lost Years) ", "Dudaktan Kalbe(Melody of Heart),(From Lips to heart),(Kismet) " , "Maskeli Balo (Masquerade) and " Kızım Nerede (Where is my daughter)
